FCA is seeking an Electrical Systems Validation Engineer who will be responsible for developing electrical system validation test plans and procedures for automotive body, audio, active chassis and/or safety systems. The Engineer will require the extensive use of CAN testing tools and traditional electrical testing equipment in an electrical lab atmosphere to test and troubleshoot vehicle systems. The Engineer will design automated test benches to support the above systems as well as troubleshoot complex automotive electrical issues.

Basic Qualifications:
•Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent (Materials /Chemical/ Civil/ Aerospace/Computer) from an ABET accredited university
•A minimum of 1 year of experience in automotive engineering
•Demonstrated experience with CANoe and other diagnostic equipment
•Demonstrated experience with DFMEA and DVP&R processes
•Knowledge of CAN Diagnostic Tools and Simulation Equipment
•Capable of developing requirements based test plans for electrical systems
•Capable of performing vehicle and system level validation
Preferred Qualifications:
•Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent (Materials /Chemical/ Civil/ Aerospace/Computer) from an ABET accredited university
•A minimum of 5 years of experience in automotive engineering
•Design or validation experience
•System or component automated bench testing design experience including knowledge of .Net programming languages
•DFSS or Reactive training or certification
Travel and Driving Requirements:
•Valid driver’s license is required as well as a clean driving record
•Must be able and willing to drive and test vehicles
•Will be required to drive a company car
•Will be required to obtain a chauffer’s license to drive heavy duty pick-up trucks
•Will be required to travel domestically and internationally up to 20%
