Position Description:
Summer intern will perform activities as directed by senior engineering staff in any one or more of the following areas:
•Metallurgical analysis and sample preparation
•Chemical and physical characterization of non-metallic and polymeric materials
•Mechanical / physical testing of materials
•Design and testing of non-ballistic survivability technologies
Summer intern will also work as directed to perform required yearly ISO 9001 review and documentation updates

Candidate should possess:
•Excellent communication skills
•Must be adaptable to learning new technologies
•Familiarity with Microsoft Office products required
•Must be willing and able to perform hands-on testing and process development
•Must be self motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
•Light lifting up to 30 pounds
•Candidate ideally should be working on a degree in either Materials Engineering or Materials Science.
Candidate must meet the following minimum requirements:
•Candidate must have achieved Sophomore status (completed Freshman requirements)
•Candidate must be a minimum of 18 years old
•Candidate must currently be attending a university or college
•Candidate must have a minimum overall GPA of 3.0
•Candidate must successfully pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
