Overview:
A Life Cycle Services Engineer assists in supporting Dematic AGV products, including automated handling equipment and their supporting proprietary software. This position will be responsible for joining a team that provides post project support of the material handling systems that are installed by Dematic (formerly Egemin Automation).
This position will utilize diagnostics and troubleshooting skills to resolve issues that customers experience following the completion of an Egemin installation. The types of support provided by Life Cycle Services Engineers include electrical, mechanical, PLC, database, and Windows operating systems. In order to support the customer, knowledge in debugging, configuration, and installation of Dematic proprietary software is utilized.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs semi-complex work within technical or paraprofessional area. Effectively identifies problems as they occur and takes appropriate steps to solve them in situations where the problem is not difficult or complex. Refers complex, unusual problems to others.
Responsibilities:
* Provide remote troubleshooting support for issue resolution.
* Provide onsite support for customer installations and system start-ups when required.
* Availability for 24/7 phone support.
* Server and PC setup, software installation, including virtualized servers.
Job Family Responsibilities:
Participates in semi-complex product support to customers remotely or on-site Participates in disseminating semi-complex product knowledge. Provides support in recommending products for customers with semi-complex product needs to product design group. Participates in coordinating new product introductions as they relate to product support.
