#672 ELECTRICAL ENGINEER

The Electrical Engineer will work in conjunction with the supplier team to design, develop and verify embedded transmission module, engine controller, or engine module electronics.
Responsibilities:
- Develop module specifications, FMEAs, test specifications and source packages
- Design and/or verify circuit designs
- Lead/participate in issue resolution activities during development, vehicle launch, and/or warranty periods
- Support effort to incorporate module(s) into vehicle electrical systems
- Work with supplier on new module package designs to conform to vehicle under hood and interior environments
- Lead/participate in teams to develop the required vehicle function control requirements that are incorporated into the controllers
- Work with supplier to develop and implement cost saving and/or development issue solutions in hardware and/or software
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- 2+ years embedded automotive electronics experience
- 5+ years’ experience with electronic modules is preferred
- Experience with component releases
- Experience with powertrain subsystem or vehicle systems
- Experience with thermal management and electronic packaging for power electronics is preferred
- Experience specifying or designing control system algorithms for inclusion in purchased electronic controllers is preferred
