The Instrumentation Service group is looking for a self-motivated individual who will be responsible for providing technical leadership in the support of department operations. The Engineering Operations Analyst will be responsible for actively managing department work order systems, development of software tools to aid in department management and improve efficiencies, creating database queries for data analysis in support of department metrics, manage the calibration database and accessories, and develop automated calibration test stands to support equipment/monuments located at the Technical Center.
Basic Qualifications:
•Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or equivalent from an ABET accredited or equivalent program; other technical degrees in combination with relevant experience may be considered
•2+ years of experience in database systems and creating queries
•2+ years of experience using one or more of the following: .NET, Visual Basic, C#, Access, and Excel
•Exposure to instrument calibration and associated calibration standards
•Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple jobs and projects simultaneously
•Motivated self-starter with good oral and written communication skills
•Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications:
•Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering from an ABET accredited or equivalent program
•2+ years of experience with development of front-end software to control test systems
•2+ years’ experience in problem analysis including root cause analysis
•2+ years of advanced software development utilizing .Net, Visual Basic, C#, etc.
•2+ years of calibration support utilizing Fluke hardware and Met/Cal software writing automated procedures
