What You’ll Do
The RWD Transmission Shift Control (ATSYS) Calibration Engineer is responsible for tuning shift quality to match desired brand character. Key activities include developing and releasing transmission calibrations (shift quality calibrations) for automatic transmission applications, performing hands-on in-vehicle calibration development work, supporting test trips to verify proper transmission operation across operating conditions and other assigned powertrain development activities. The Engineer will work with in-vehicle test instrumentation, ETAS-INCA calibration tools and mathematical analysis tools such as MS-Excel macros and Matlab to meet objectives.
Basic Qualifications:
•Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering Discipline
•Minimum five (5) years prior Automotive Experience
•Excellent written and Oral communication skills
•MS-Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) Product Proficiency
•Desire to perform in-vehicle test and development work in addition to analysis “desk” work
Preferred Qualifications:
•Prior calibration experience (University SAE experience is acceptable)
•Matlab/Simulink Experience
