EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
An associate degree in Horticulture, Landscape Architecture, Environmental Science, Community Engagement, Outdoor Education, Environmental Engineering, or related field is required at minimum. Must be willing to work in a diverse work environment, retain excellent communication and organizational skills, computer literacy, and a genuine appreciation for the urban environment, and a proven ability to create successful partnerships.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor of Science in one of the above or a related field and leadership experience in community organizing, urban planning, workforce management or environmental studies; possess the ability to collaborate with others on common project goals in a fast-paced work environment; display professionalism, exercise independent judgment; demonstrate effective decision-making skills, be self-motivated and appreciate a team environment.
Candidates will be considered who have not achieved a degree but who have comprehensive experience in landscape design, community organizing, program management, urban agriculture, workforce development, complete streets/alternative transportation.
