To assist the Quality Manager in ensuring the products meet customer specifications and monitor conformance in the Quality System. The Quality Auditor reports to the Quality Supervisor & Quality Manager.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
Excellent fluency in English to communicate with Supervisors and fellow employees read and interpret instructions, drawings and other documentation—including safety procedures.
Basic math skills.
Good attention to detail.
Excellent eyesight and accurate color/depth perception.
Ability to walk, stretch, stoop and climb; use both arms and hands with high dexterity; lift 30 pounds; maintain sound physical condition; and be able to perform physically demanding tasks for the entire shift.
Able to follow directions and work without direct supervision.
Must be able to work flexible hours and off-shift as required.
Must have Corrective Action and PPAP experience.
Must have experience with the following tools:
· PC-MS Office, Statistical Packages · Stop Watch
· Calculator · Micrometers
· Tape Measure · Variable/attribute gages
WORKING CONDITIONS
This position will be working partly in a climate controlled, smoke free office environment, and also in the plant. The plant is subject to extremes of heat, cold, and humidity. There will be exposure to dust, fumes and high noise levels. There will be exposure to hazardous materials including, but not limited to plastic and metal chips/shavings, lubricants, coolants and caustic-cleaning solutions.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Fully participate in and support the DT Quality System.
Adhere to all DT policies and procedures concerning safety and personal conduct.
Monitor the shop floor processes.
Inspect the product produced during the shift.
Assist in inspections/sorts as needed.
Monitor Corrective/Preventative Actions that have been implemented.
Report status daily to Quality Manager.
Report to supervisors immediately for nonconformance or questionable conditions.
Update scrap and downtime reports daily.
Process Audit Daily.
Tag any nonconforming product for disposition by Management.
Assist in the calibration of gages.
Assist in all PPAP activities.
Any reasonable activities assigned by management.
Follow the Company’s Safety Manual and maintain safe operations at all times.
Be familiar with the Company’s Employee Handbook and observe its guidelines.
