Performs a variety of responsibilities and tasks as they relate to fire suppression product offering. These responsibilities and/or tasks include controlling incoming/outgoing product inventory; order and receive purchased materials; process, enter, and record orders; maintain communications with current / prospective customers; fill cylinders; ensures appropriate quality requirements in compliance with UL / FM; and prepares product for shipment, which includes the preparation of all mandated documentation and arrangements with transportation agents.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Cycle Counts - Task is performed daily. Employee will conduct physical count of product selected systematically. Employee must perform analysis of count whereupon the physical count disagrees with the perpetual count. Employee must determine best method for reconciling these differences and update/approve the counts.
- Receiving - Employee will unload truck, validate receipt against vendor's documentation and purchase order. Employee will manage process for discrepancies by working with assigned parties in purchasing department including completing any documentation required for logging said discrepancies. Employee will follow up with purchasing department for resolution. Employee will perform put away of inbound products to designated primary and/or secondary locations in warehouse. Employee will work with customer service to be able to recognize "hot" receipts and follow process to expedite product when necessary to meet customer demand.
- Replenishment - Employee will review replenishment reports and move product from secondary to primary locations as required.
- Sales Order Processing - Employee will retrieve pick tickets and prioritize for processing. This will include coordinating with purchasing and manufacturing for order completion dates. Orders are to be picked, packed, and shipped using defined processes and systems. Duties also include properly packaging shipments for export (when required), completing required export documentation (including hazardous material declarations), and coordinating with customer and freight forwarders for dispatch.
- Order Fulfillment - Employee will be able to work with planning department and customer service to prioritize production work orders. Employee will review engineering drawings and manufacturing specifications and perform filling of cylinders with compressed clean agent gas. Employee will complete work orders and move (physically and systematically) the cylinders to make them available for order fulfillment.
- Order Chase Reports - Employee to review system generated reports for managing open orders in branch. This includes orders "stuck" during processing from previous day and/or orders needing attention from customer service department. Employee analyzes issues, takes action, and/or reports results to CS or management as appropriate
- MISC - Employee will also be responsible for processing the inspection and receipt to customer / vendor returns as well as processing customer will call orders when required. Employee will be required to perform any other clerical or physical tasks deemed necessary by management. Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Associate's degree or related certifications preferred
- Previous experience preferred
- Previous experience in computers/software to include all Microsoft platforms.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently towards a solution.
