RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
The Solution Architect will bring technology and process experience to the team and advise on appropriate technology solutions suited for a specific business capability or set of requirements.
* Provide long term evaluations of existing systems and technologies with a focus on cloud-readiness.
* Collaborate with product, technology and business teams to understand requirements that form the core foundation for our future products.
* Evaluate emerging technologies and software products to determine feasibility of incorporating their capabilities within new and existing products.
* Drive innovation initiatives to deliver new capabilities, introduce creative ideas, and future improvements and opportunities that will benefit the business and customers.
* Identify and propose strategies to align technology solutions with business objectives.
* Provide technical thought leadership.
* Advocate and evangelize best practices in design, modeling and coding across all the engineering teams.
* Mentor technical resources in delivery teams.
* Gain approval on proposed solution approaches from the Leadership, support transition to delivery teams, and oversee the realization of the architecture through to deployment
QUALIFICATIONS:
* A bachelor s degree in a technical discipline
* Minimum 10 years technology experience with 5-10 years in architect role.
* A proven track record of delivering enterprise- level and/or cloud-aware business applications.
* Proven leadership and delivery of solutions using various software development methods (Agile, Scrum, Iterative, etc).
* Must be well informed and knowledgeable about leading edge concepts in technology including Web technologies, SaaS, Security, Cloud Computing, and Mobile devices.
* Must be well informed and knowledgeable about Microsoft technologies, e.g. .Net, Entity Framework, SQL Server.
* Should be well informed and knowledgeable in using at least one non-Microsoft product development platform (e.g. Java, etc.)
* Substantial experience developing Web based UI application using HTML5, JavaScript (JQuery, AngularJS) and CSS.
* Experience with change control/management tools such as Microsoft TFS, Git.
* Expert knowledge of database modeling and data structure principles, techniques and best practices.
* Experience in presenting to an executive level audience.
* Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, managers and leadership.
