CNC Setup Tech - Direct Hire!

*Co. is a high volume cnc machining production of auto parts
Hours: 1st shift (7:00am - 3:30pm)
Pay Rate: $21 - 24 per hour
Summary:
The CNC Setup Technician performs setups, troubleshoots, offsets, tool changes, etc. on assigned CNC mill or lathe machines.
Will be responsible for production set-ups of Fanuc controlled CNC Lathes
Will edit the existing programs on CNC Lathes
Will change tools/ inserts
Job Duties:
Adjust specified programs, tooling, and stops to control stock and tool movements
Review machine programming and make changes and adjustments as needed
Perform machine troubleshooting, and asking for assistance from manufacturing engineer technicians when needed
Monitor back up tooling
Set up the necessary tooling, gaging and benches for assigned jobs and perform tool changes/offsets
Maintains safe operations by following all safety procedures and regulations
Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs
Qualifications required:
Must have min. 2+ years experience to Edit program/setup cnc machines with Fanuc controls/ G&M codes
Must be able to read blue prints
Must be able to read measuring gages: mics, calipers, etc.
Must have own tools
Time management skills are very important
Knowledge of Plex ERP system would be a plus
