The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for the organization and administration of quarterly SEC reporting documents, the coordination and preparation of government reports, and providing support functions for the Accounting Policy & External Financial Reporting department. Responsibilities:
•Proofread, edit, and perform quality review of technical and financial accounting documents following professional writing standards and internal style guidelines
•Assess the reasonableness of information obtained from other departments in order to complete government surveys and other reports
•Prepare special or one-time reports, data, and other informational materials as requested
•Test certain financial reporting controls and applications
•Perform support functions including: establishing and maintaining electronic and physical filing systems, ensuring compliance with information life management requirements, making appointments, scheduling meetings, and creating quarterly financial filing schedules to ensure that all deadlines are met
•Periodically evaluate process effectiveness and take action to maintain continuous improvement

The Administrative Support Job Family is utilized throughout the Company. Typically, employees in this job family are required to operate personal computers, utilize various computer software programs, and demonstrate basic or proficient typing. At the higher levels in this job family, the work performed will be of a complex nature involving various functional/specialized disciplines (ie, accounting, land and right of way, finance, human resources, materials management, customer billing, etc) wherein the work responsibilities can only be proficiently performed after a relatively long training/ experience-related time period that may also require successful completion of various college level courses in the functional area and/or specialty.
