GAS SCHEDULER
•LOCATION:Ann Arbor, Michigan*
•SUMMARY:*
The Gas Scheduler provides transactional analysis and scheduling, working with team of regional traders and senior schedulers to optimize and accurately provide activities on pipelines in support of the Trading organization. Understands the basic movement of natural gas, knowledge of electronic bulletin boards, and internal tracking systems, and is capable of tracking transactions from inception to month end. Some independent action required in dealing with problem solving. Work is diversified. May take action on certain matters without referring to co-workers or superiors for advice and guidance.
•QUALIFICATIONS:*
•Undergraduate degree in accounting, marketing, engineering, business, other relevant field of study
•Experience in the gas scheduling industry required
•Proficient in Excel, analytical, strong oral and communication skills
•Highly motivated individual with ability to work in fast paced environment, with strict deadlines
•PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITES:*
•Apply working knowledge of Front office to timely scheduling of natural gas transactions.
•Work closely with regional team to understand and implement the transactions.
•Work toward understanding pipeline contracts to optimize in most efficient manner.
•Verify transactions with third parties and maintain good relationships.
•Monitor pipeline volumes in pipeline EBBs and make appropriate changes.
•Maintain all associated spreadsheets, pipeline imbalances and storage balances.
•Monitor pipeline notices and alert team to relevant issues.
•Balance source and disposition daily on pipelines and internal systems.
•Cross train in other regions as necessary to gain knowledge of pipelines.
•Provide on-call support for weekend coverage as scheduled as appropriate.
