Job Duties:
- Operate the Brake Press and other machinery used in the production process, or assist other machine operators.
- Operate machinery used in the production process, or assist machine operators.
- Select proper die clearances based on material requirements.
- Set up tooling, load programs and set machine parameters to ensure optimal performance of the equipment.
- Determine condition of tools and point of re-sharpening.
- Work in a fast paced environment with fast changing priorities.
- Keep work area clean and organized.
- Follow all company rules and policies.
- Provide a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given task.
- Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency.
- Assemble items as instructed by supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Proven measurement and mathematical fraction/decimal conversion skills.
- Ability to distinguish material types including Aluminum, Steel and Stainless Steel.
- Candidate must have a basic understanding of Brake Press operation.
- Candidate must be able to work with minimal supervision.
- Candidate must have the ability to read blueprints.
- Candidate must be able to work in other areas of the shop as needed.
- Candidate must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Work overtime when approved and scheduled by your supervisor.
Experience:
- At least 1-2 years of proven Brake Press operation.
- Brake Press set up experience is a plus.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent. Degree preferred .
- National Institute for Metalworking Skills (NIMS) certificate is a plus.
