Job Description:
As the Premier, High-Growth Extremities and Biologics Company, Wright Medical is currently looking for a Hub Material Handler III. The Hub Material Handler III ensures the timely processing of kits/sets in the Hub. This could include, but is not limited to, checking in sets, verifying completeness, restocking, creating new kits from sterile implant skus, and other basic set maintenance. The Hub Specialist is required to function with minimal supervision to ensure that work flow is uninterrupted and that all customer requirements are met within the functional area.
The Hub Material Handler III will be cross-trained on other Hub positions in order to ensure that all Hub functions are carried out timely and as needed. Driving abstracts will be required every year to ensure certification for driving company van. This position drives less that of scheduled week
Essential Job Functions:
• Instrumental in order fulfillment process including order pulling, order prep, and utilizing the proper modes of transportation to process the shipment
•Use the system to receive, inspect, replenish both implant or instrument kits.
• Inspection Process - ensure kits are delivered complete and ready for surgery (customer service focus)
•Cross Train Hub Delivery and Hub Coordinator positions
•Controlling inventory through the use of available system tools to ensure accuracy for implants (part number level) and instrument sets (set and lot number level) in hospital consignments, rep trunk stocks, and in office(s)/storage locations.
•Stock and/or return products
• Maintaining appropriate inventory levels (both implants and instruments) to meet the needs of the territory while adhering to company days on hand and turn objectives.
•Controlling inventory through the use of available system tools to ensure accuracy for implants (part number level) and instrument sets (set and lot number level) in hospital consignments, rep trunk stocks, and in office(s)/storage locations.
•Oversee and responsible for training employees; planning, assigning, directing work and providing leadership on a daily basis to employees within the Hub area.
•Thorough understanding of the company's quality systems
Skills:
• Strong analytical and planning skills
• Required to pass annual driving abstract
• Drives/Delivers less than half of week
• Valid Driver's License with no restrictions required
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
•Thorough understanding of business and medical terminology
•Proficiency in office software applications are all required.
•Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Education and Experience Requirements:
• Associate's degree and/or 1-3 years of leadership/inventory experience
• 3 + years of experience in Inventory Handling and Logistics
