Department Summary
•Reporting to the social and digital media lead, the digital and social media coordinator will play an important role in enhancing the Consumers Energy brand through customer engagement and outreach via our social media channels.
•Our ideal candidate is someone who is a strategic content creator, demonstrating creativity and an interest in serving customers. Additional support of other Strategic Communications initiatives will be required.
Job Description/Responsibilities
•Translate communications and marketing objectives into an actionable digital content strategy and plan that delivers measurable results.
•Develop and implement best practice content (long-form and short-form) and publish through various digital communications channels.
•Balance multiple concurrent projects with shifting priorities across a shared resource pool in a fast-paced and high-volume environment.
•Monitor and manage dialogue on various social media channels, including times of crisis.
•Create detailed daily/weekly/monthly progress and benchmarking reports tailored to executives and internal audience based on company goals.
•Manage company blog schedule, content, graphics and authors.
•Responsible for execution of online advertising campaigns including brainstorming, buying, executing and delivering measurable results.
Requirements/Qualifications
•Bachelor's degree in applicable field
•1+ years of experience

The Communications Job Family is utilized in the Government and Public Affairs department of the Company. This job family provides advice and council regarding communications activities for all areas of the Company. Responsible for developing and creating information, educational programs and other informative processes for disseminating informational, educational, and promotional materials.
