We are looking for someone who can plan, prepare, and execute banquet activities with a goal of ensuring that guests have a favorable event experience.
Duties included, but are not limited to:
- Scheduling of all banquet service personal.
- Assign and oversee specific tasks required by banquet staff.
- Ensure that safety and sanitation codes are followed.
- Ongoing training of staff.
- Supervise the cleanup, inventory, and storage of supplies and equipment.
- Work with Director of Sales and kitchen staff to ensure a clear understanding of the menu, food preparation activities, and service standards for each function.
- Examine the cleanliness of the venue, such as the condition of the bathrooms, prior to a function.
- Once an event is over, will review the charges incurred and present to the client.
Attention to detail: Banquet Captains ensure the elements of a venue are ready before guests arrive, including the dining tables, bar, food, and beverages. During the event, they interact with the host to respond to any special requests or last-minute adjustments. They monitor the activities of workers and guests and respond to questions, complaints, or comments that may arise.
