*This position will be a part-time, JOB SHARE role.*
The MOPAR Accessories, Fluids and Program Management Purchasing – Senior Professional will be responsible for co-leading the NAFTA based team which manages sourcing, commodity strategies and negotiations that supports a rapidly growing MOPAR business portfolio. Annual spend is over $500M. In addition, the individual will be one of the lead managers responsible for the FCA wide global oil and chemicals bid and associated global contracts. They will also be responsible for co-leading the development and implementation of regional and global sourcing strategies for accessories, and oil/chemicals. The selected candidate will co-manage both tactical and strategic aspect of the supplier relationship, including negotiations, contract compliance, issue resolution, etc. The selected candidate will co-lead the contract management process, which includes tracking savings and performance measurement. Lastly, they will co-lead MOPAR launch readiness activities on behalf of the Purchasing organization.
The role is expected to maintain flexibility to manage multiple ad hoc projects in support of rapidly evolving MOPAR and Purchasing strategies, both globally and regionally. They will also co-lead the settlement of all commercial issues and provide updates and status reports on issues and projects to the Senior Leadership team. The selected candidate will co-supervise seven (7) buyers and will be responsible for their performance management and supporting each person’s career development.
Basic Qualifications:
•Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited university in Business, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or other closely related discipline
•Minimum of 10 years of experience in Business, Purchasing and/or Engineering including internship experience.
•Excellent negotiation skills, strong analytical skills and experience in working in cross-functional teams
•Proven experience managing and negotiating contracts and have a strong understanding of contract law
•Effective listener and be able to build relationships in cross functional groups
•Ability to coach and manage both the buyers and the supply base and drive timely resolution of open issue
•Willing to travel internationally as needed
