The Manager of Organic Materials is responsible for managing a highly technical team of materials engineers and technical specialists that are the center of competence and expertise for all of NAFTA organic materials engineering activity. This individual will provide technical leadership for materials specifications and selection, advanced material development, root cause analysis and multiple laboratory analysis.
Basic Qualifications:
•Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or equivalent from an ABET accredited or equivalent program
•Ten years of experience in coatings, plastics, elastomers, glazing or organic material testing and/or development
•Five years of supervisory experience of professional-level employees
•Demonstrated self-starter with creative thinking and problem solving skills
•Adept at multi-tasking with organization and time management skills
•Strong communication and presentation skills
•Demonstrated leadership ability
•Ability to work well under pressure and proven ability to meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications:
•Master of Science in Engineering from an ABET accredited or equivalent program or an MBA
•Materials engineering experience
•Strong research/analytical and problem solving skills and the ability to gather, analyze and document information clearly and efficiently
