We are currently looking for a paid Continuous Improvement Intern to work at our Holland facility.
Haworth has a formalized intern program where you are part of a group of cross functional interns learning about the entire scope of business with weekly knowledge series events. You will have responsibility for both daily tasks and projects.
The Role
Under the direction of a Senior Improvement Champion, roles & responsibilities may include:
- Value stream projects for both manufacturing and enterprise functions
- Group/Kaizen facilitation
- Organizing training materials
- Goal deployment
- Time studies and equipment reliability studies; however most of the projects will focus on the enterprise functions
- Other project work as assigned
Haworth’s Intern Program is designed to attract high-potential, passionate students who possess the following criteria:
Basic Qualifications
- Current fulltime college student working towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Supply Chain, Organizational Management, Business, or an Engineering field with at least a junior level status by Fall of 2018.
- Overall GPA of at least 3.0.
Other Requirements
- Strong statistical analysis skills.
- Familiar with lean principles, Six Sigma knowledge is a plus.
- Working knowledge of personal computers, spreadsheet applications and keyboard skills.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Good interpersonal communication skills.
- Requires current and continuing right to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Requires job seeker to be able to work in Holland, MI without relocation or housing assistance.
