Amigo Mobility International is seeking a customer-oriented person with a passion for helping others. The ideal candidate is one that not only meets the requirements listed below, but also has a positive, helpful personality, and enjoys working in a constructive team environment. This individual will possess the ability to successfully develop sales, marketing opportunities, and referral sources for mobility equipment in Michigan. Team Amigo is looking for an associate who can work a full-time schedule (M-F 8:00am-5:00 pm, occasionally a Saturday on call) at our location in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
The Amigo Mobility Center’s goal is to provide outstanding service, so the ability to be well-mannered, efficient, and flexible is imperative.
Job Duties:
- Be involved with all customers who have or may need custom advanced seating or help with positioning.
- Generate sales opportunities for complex rehab mobility equipment, networking, relationship building, and marketing to increase awareness of local presence.
- Respond to team requests and facilitate adequate and correct documentation while ensuring ongoing customer satisfaction.
- Establish and maintain business relationships with providers, facilities, and all referral sources.
- Coordinate with healthcare professionals to assess and recommend appropriate mobility and seating based on patient’s conditions and needs.
- Coordinate ordering of equipment with manufacturers based on specifications from seating evaluation.
- Manage documentation and paperwork process for provision and reimbursement.
- Exhibit knowledge of technical attributes of DME industry, and serve as a consultant and product knowledge expert to enhance the sales process.
Required:
- ATP Certification
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Experience in the Rehabilitation Field
- General knowledge of wheeled mobility systems
- Ambulation assistance
- Seating and positioning
- Able to function as a polite, cooperative team member with a positive attitude
- Detail oriented, accurate, and possess general office knowledge
- Able to work independently, efficiently, with the ability to multi-task
- In an average 8 hour day, the employee lifts/carries up to 65 pounds frequently.
- In an average 8 hour day, the employee stands/walks 3 hours.
- In an average 8 hour day, the employee sits 2 hours. (These hours include up to 2 hours of data entry/phone work)
- In an average 8 hour day, the employee drives 3 hours.
- The employee lifts/carries up to 85 lbs. maximum.
- Must be clean & neat in personal appearance.
