TITLE: LISCENSED PRACTICAL NURSE (LPN)

Job Summary:
The LPN acts as a liaison between business/industry and the hospital. They serve as a resource for area business to contact for hospital services and occupational health inquires. The LPN also assists the occupational physician in the day-to-day operations of the occupational health clinic.
Essential Functions:
1. Assists in physical exams, drug screens, evidential breath testing, respiratory fit testing, audiometric testing, spirometry, blood draws, and injury treatment
2. Responsible for performing quality controls on point of care testing.
3. Demonstrates the ability to assist patients and visitors of all ages (infants, children, adolescents, adults, and/or geriatric) and demonstrates the ability to effectively work and communicate with them based on understanding their unique physical and developmental needs.
4. Acts as a resource to companies for scheduling, tracking and billing of clients
5. Acts as a resource for payment of services via prior authorization of treatment
6. Establishes and maintains communication with clients in regards to their employee’s occupational health needs.
7. Demonstrates behavior consistent with department and organizational customer service principles/service care standards.
8. Assists office staff with registering of patients, scheduling, filing, and managing incoming and outgoing phone calls.
9. Acts as a resource to customers regarding the facility and services.
10. Assures adequate supplies for the occupational health department.
11. Participates in off-site screening and services.
12. Maintains established hospital and departmental policies and procedures, objectives, customer service guidelines, performance improvement program, safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
13. Enhances professional growth and development of self and others through the following: participation in educational programs, education of hospital staff on urine drug and evidential breath testing, reviews current literature, and attends in-service meetings/continuing education classes
14. Responsible for Point of Care glucose testing
15. Must be able to complete the physical, sensory and mental requirements of the position (see attached form).

Qualifications:
• Current registration in the State of WI-Required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Physician Clinic or Occupational Health Clinic-Required.
• Previous experience with urine drug collections-Required
• Previous experience with evidential breath testing-Preferred
• Previous experience with audiometry and spirometry testing - Preferred
• Previous experience with Epic - Preferred
• CPR and AED certification-Required
