ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists in planning, scheduling, and directing the remodeling of apartments, coordinating deliveries, and pulling orders
- Installs cabinets, hardware, and appliances; updates plumbing and electrical fixtures; installs tile, grout, and seals; disposes of and delivers materials, and performs other tasks to remodel an apartment
- Tracks hours worked and materials used
- Inspects remodeled apartments
- Manages assigned staff in the absence of supervisor
- Performs other duties as assigned
CORE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
The ideal candidate must possess all of the following:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year of general remodeling experience
- Working knowledge of methods, procedures, and equipment and tools of the building trades, including safety rules and building code regulations and the ability to accurately read a tape measure
- Ability to effectively manage staff
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to be a team player and interact effectively with all levels of the organization
- Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision
- Ability to effectively manage and execute multiple tasks, projects, and priorities to meet deadlines
- Ability to make decisions effectively and use good judgment at all times
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand spoken English
PREFERRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- One year of supervisory experience
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have and maintain a valid Michigan driver’s license with an acceptable record
- The ability to travel to all sites within the portfolio and other locations
- Must have reliable transportation while employed
