The Quality organization is currently seeking a skilled, solutions-oriented Lead Electrical Resident Engineer to join FCA's Corporate Quality Team at Sterling Heights, Michigan. The Lead Resident Engineer will report to the Resident Engineering Manager of Corporate Quality and lead will a team of 3 to 4 Engineers to provide support to all quality systems, technical expertise, and support hourly and manufacturing salary personnel at Sterling Heights Assembly Plant facility. As the Lead Engineer, you will need to collaborate with plant manufacturing and Engineering operations to champion quality systems, and improvements in all functional areas. As the Electrical Lead Engineer, you will be required to provide support with advanced problem solving, Engineering, and knowledge to identify risks to establish risk mitigation plans to resolve production and quality system deficiencies. The selected candidate will oversee and review project deliverables throughout the project lifecycle ensuring the product meets or exceeds customers' needs and expectations.
Basic Qualifications:
•Bachelor's degree or higher in the fields of Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
•8 years' minimum experience and subject matter expert in one of the following areas: Automotive Electrical Systems / Wiring
•Demonstrated ability to coach and teach others
•Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
•Ability to communicate details from Executive level to plant staff level
•Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
•Ability to work off shift hours as necessary
•Self-motivated and directed
Preferred Qualifications:
•Advance Degree (MSEE or MSME)
•Experience in the application of problem solving tools
•Proficient in creating and presenting presentations
•Demonstrated ability to present to all levels of management
•WCM background
•5 yrs + Design or Resident Engineering experience with either of the following areas: Powertrain / Chassis / Electrical
