SUMMARY: Management Business Solutions is hiring a Payment Processing Clerk for our client in Grand Rapids, MI. This person will be responsible for performing clerical accounting and other procedural financial transactions involving preparation, maintenance and review of financial and/or related records or documents.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Accept payments from customers and post them to accounts.
- Prepares and/or records bills, claim listings, receipts, statistical activity reports, and other related bookkeeping items.
- Contacts individuals who have submitted insufficient fund checks.
- Performs research and adjustment activities.
- Multitasks in various systems and software simultaneously.
- Ability to balance and finalize accounts.
- Ability to use a scanner to image payment stubs and checks.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School diploma and two years of experience in bookkeeping or related field required.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite required.
- Some knowledge of payroll practices and procedures required.
- Knowledge of bookkeeping practices, techniques and terminology preferred.
- 10-key calculator skills preferred.
- Strong Excel skills preferred.
- 1 year of remittance processing and payment processing preferred.
- Aptitude for computers and high-speed processing preferred.
