The GOISD is seeking applicants to fill a Special Education Occupational Therapist vacancy.

Credentials: Occupational Therapy Certification/licensure, approved through the Michigan Department of Education. Meets requirements of R340.1792 of the Michigan Administrative Rules for Special Education.

Qualifications:

• Ability to organize and maintain documentation and meet all deadlines associated therein.
• Ability to screen and evaluate children referred for special education.
• Provide direct services and collaborative consultation for students qualifying for special education programs and services.
• Ability to address obstacles and constraints in a positive manner.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
• Ability to work effectively and courteously with staff, students, families and communities.

Responsibilities:

• Implement research-based interventions, supports, and therapy designed to address IEP goals and objectives.
• Provide therapy that results in educational benefit for students qualifying for special education.
• Collaborate and coordinate inclusionary practices with all GOISD and LEA administration and staff.
• Complete student assessments to maintain student growth documentation and use for IEP preparation and implementation.

Compensation: Per the terms of the GOISDEA Master Agreement
