Now Hiring for 2nd and 3rd shift - starting at $12.50 per hour
General Description: Warehouse team members are cross-trained in a variety of roles that include: Assistant Bench and Assistant Picker responsibilities. The Warehouse crew works as a team to ensure all sales orders are packed and shipped per schedule.
The Warehouse team wears required PPE: safety glasses, steel toe shoes, gloves, ear plugs and hard hats as needed. The team works safely to ensure that employees do not incur bodily harm. The team uses care and respect to ensure that equipment and/or property is not damaged. The team works together to keep the warehouse area clean.
All Warehouse team members are cross-trained to perform these job functions. All Warehouse team members are responsible for following documented procedures as well as ensuring productivity meets or exceeds established requirements.
Principal Duties and Accountabilities include, but not limited to:
Warehouse Level 1
•Counts units and checks product identity according to pick list
•Packs products in boxes or cartons, following prescribed procedures to ensure safe transportation including adding Styrofoam and cardboard
•Tapes all cartons to ensure product remains secure during transport
•Lifts large, packaged products on to cribs for transport
•May apply labels or other identification as directed
•Responsible for error free production while maintaining a high efficiency
•Responsible for following documented procedures as well as producing and ensuring product meets or exceeds established product specifications.
Material Handler Level 1
•Perform basic Material Handling duties
Sort pick orders based on priority, type and schedule to ensure all orders are completed on time
Working with a team mate, locate and pick error-free orders as scheduled
Scrap product per scrap procedure when necessary
When picks are complete, transport to staging area.
Responsible for following documented procedures as well as producing and ensuring product meets or exceeds established product specifications.
Perform system transactions to ensure inventory accuracy.
Position Requirements
•Must have high school diploma or GED
•Must be able to stand for a minimum of 8 hours
•Must be able to bend easily at the waist.
•Must be able to read a tape measure accurately
•Must be able to read work instructions.
•Must be able to demonstrate basic math skills
•Must have demonstrated excellent attendance
•Must have reliable transportation
•Must be able to use small hand tools, including knives, hammers, screw drivers, etc.
•Must be able to read and interpret packing labels
•Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds.
•Must be willing to do repetitive tasks.
•Must be able to maintain a high rate of efficiency.
•Hilo license or the ability to obtain and retain one preferred.
