Job Summary:
A fast-paced manufacturing company is seeking a TIG (GTAW) welder to join their team on 1st shift. This is a great opportunity to join a growing company and take the next step in your career! The TIG (GTAW) welder will be responsible for tube and plate welding with carbon steel and stainless steel. TIG Welder candidates should have their own tools: welding hood, welpers, small grinder, hammer-chisel, fillet, and V-WAC gauges.
Location: Grand Rapids – SE Side
Position Type: Evaluation Hire (Contract to Hire)
Schedule: 1st shift
Qualifications:
- 5 years of fast paced production TIG (GTAW) welding experience
- Knowledge of GD&T (geometric dimensioning and tolerance) and ability to apply tolerances when welding
- Highly proficient at blueprint reading (standard and metric) including a strong understanding of 1st angle and 3rd angle projection
- Knowledge AWS (American Welding Society) standards / symbols and codes preferred
- National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC) preferred, but not required.
