Description:
Acts as a resource to coordinate and verify supplier readiness for new program launches within NSK Americas business segments. Leads activity related to the development of identified potential new suppliers for raw materials, processing, and components utilized in the production of NSK products. Assists in the development of new or revised supplier standards in conjunction with the NSK Americas Quality Systems Group. Develops and provides training for implementation of these standards within the supply chain. This position will participate in program management and APQP activity, while leading the activity related to supplier launch preparation.
Responsibilities:
* Develop new suppliers: Project Manager.
* Supports program and project management teams.
* Supplier readiness for new programs.
* Creates/updates Engineering and Purchasing specifications.
* Creates and updates NSK Americas procedures.
* Supports major supplier process changes.
* Trains and mentors NSK associates.
* Support quality issues.
Qualifications:
This job requires a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in a related field and 4 to 6 years of position-related experience; preferably 6 to 8 years of position-related experience.
