 As the Buyer II, you will:

• Review purchase requisitions in Skytron’s ERP system for assigned items, purchasing products that meet the required quality and delivery requirements
• Manage inventory levels to desired turns, including products for finished goods for resale, replacement parts, in-house assembly and direct shipment to customer and distributor locations
• Analyze historical item usage, changing supply and demand, and update supplier and item data in Skytron’s ERP system, as required
• Work with assigned domestic and international suppliers to expedite past due PO lines, improve supplier deliveries to meet changing demand and resolve issues as needed
• Assist with the identification, selection, management and evaluation of suppliers, when applicable. This applies mainly to product designs owned directly by Skytron
• Monitor and report supplier service measurements, process supplier acknowledgements, enter receipts for direct and drop ship purchase orders, perform inventory adjustments, handle supplier returns and maintain ERP system data

• Possess an Associate’s degree and a minimum of 2 years of buying experience required or 3 - 5 years of progressive buying responsibility or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Have 3 - 5 years of purchasing experience from wholesalers, distributors or manufacturers
• Possess strong analytical skills and an understanding of basic manufacturing practices
• Be familiar with ISO and Lean principles (Strongly preferred)
• Possess the ability to read and interpret blueprints / drawings
• Be advanced in Microsoft Office programs, including: Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel
• Have experience with MRP / ERP systems and the ability to learn Skytron’s ERP system
