As Human Resource Representative - you will provide guidance and assistance to employees and perform varied administrative, reporting, and auditing functions within the HR Department. Areas of involvement include, but are not limited to, company policy/protocol guidance, general employee relations, labor relations, recruiting, workers compensation, communication, and safety.
Reporting directly to the Director, Human Resources, this position will be located in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan.

Major Accountability:
Will be responsible for building positive relationships with the Union. Will lead all step two grievance meetings with our union and will participate in contract negotiations sitting in the third seat at the bargaining table.
Effectively manage employee relation issues within established protocols including career pathing, conflict resolution, counseling, outplacement counseling and exit interviews.
Manage and guide the recruitment function for professional/technical/hourly positions including, interviews, tests, and select employees to fill vacant positions
Essential Job Functions:
* Act as resource to leadership team, managers and directors. Assist and advise in areas of compensation, recruiting, promotion, etc.
* Provide training and guidance to salaried employees/managers in ePerformance, eCompensation; provide training and acts as resource to all employees with respect to benefits. Benefit Administration to include claims resolutions, change reporting and communicating benefit information to employees.
* Work in Taleo and HR Fusion as well as other software to maintain records of personnel transactions such as hire, promotions, transfers, reviews and terminations and employee statistical reporting to gov't regulators
* Act as resource to leadership team, managers and directors. Assist and advise in areas of compensation, recruiting, promotion, etc.
* Maintain manpower listing, post and award job bids.
* Promptly respond to grievances and maintain grievance log.
* Responsible for new employee orientation
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
* Ability to function in a fast paced work environment with a high sense of urgency.
* Competency in using computers including Microsoft Office applications is required.
* Strong problem resolution skills.
* HRIS system (Fusion or Oracle) knowledge and experience is preferred.
* Strong time management and multi-tasking skills.
Delfield, in Mount Pleasant, Michigan - manufactures and markets a complete line of foodservice equipment for restaurants, hotels and institutions (including prep tables, undercounter/worktop refrigeration, refrigerated equipment stands, blast chillers/freezers and mobile serving lines) and specializes in custom and reach-in refrigeration. The facility in Delfield is a division of Welbilt, Inc. (formerly Manitowoc Foodservice).
