Product Design Engineer - Transmission Sensors and Solenoids - 28056BR
DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
we are seeking a Product Design Engineer - Transmission Sensors and Solenoids in our Dearborn, Michigan location.
This position will be responsible for the design and production launch of pressure and temperature sensors and mechanical solenoids used in the automatic transmissions used and produced for Ford vehicles globally.
Responsibilities:
* Develop component functional and package requirements through the release of engineering specifications and drawings and in compliance with cost and quality targets
* Complete design quality attribute assessments using tools such as; DFMEA, Special Characteristics, and Control Plans, and Supplier Site Launch Assessments
* Lead design and production validation processes
* Lead completion of deliverables to meet program development milestone requirements
* Resolve production and component changes/issues during production
* Interface with the internal and external cross functional team for component design and production implementation
