Job Description
• Primary business consultant between Steelcase NA, Dealers and Field Sales proactively coaching and managing dealer activities prior to order being created and placed with Steelcase
• Understands the Steelcase order fulfillment value stream, and optimizes supply chain, manufacturing and delivery efficiencies, resulting in a great customer experience
• Possesses good communication skills to effectively modify dealer behavior to conform to the Accelerate order management model
• Aware of and supports Lean and continuous improvement methodologies
• Understands the health and wellbeing of the dealership through performance measures, and plays the role of the dealer advocate to quality and manufacturing management for awareness and drives process improvement
Required Skills
• Effective communicator, written and verbal. Able to organize thoughts and information before sharing
• Uses interpersonal communication skills to positively interact with a variety of people
• Demonstrates poise and confidence when presenting information to any size group. Has ability to lead pre-order meetings with dealer and field sales contacts
• Able to identify and implement remedial corrective action for order management problems or issues
• Has an awareness of continuous improvement/Lean methodology. Understands the LASER and quality documentation process and monitors.Aware and involved in Lean methodologies
• Able to work with internal Steelcase departments to fulfill dealer orders and resolve problems
• Understands technology used to support order management activities (i.e.. SAP, sharepoint, Excel, IM, telepresence)
• Displays the ability to adapt based on work conditions and management of various time sensitive tasks
• Subject matter expert in current assignment
• Good customer service and order management skills
Required Experience
- Bachelor’s degree (business) or equivalent or 3-5 years in progressively more responsible positions (ideally in a service area)
