CNC TURRET SETUP OPERATORS
SHIFTS
Permanent Hire Positions. 2nd and 3rd shifts available.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Experience with the methods and techniques for setup and operating CNC Turret Punch Press.
- Experience with turret punch press tooling and how to change & maintain.
- Knowledge of bend allowances, and metal forming conformances.
- Ability to read and interpret production blueprints and specifications, operating procedures, machine parts listings.
- Operate and adjust controls on CNC VTL in accordance with engineering specifications, production drawings, production procedures, and work/verbal instructions.
- Ability to shear material efficiently, punch parts to print, inspect punched parts to ensure they are within the tolerance of the blueprint, and help out in other areas in the shop when needed.
- Verification of first article to the quality plan and knowledge with inspection techniques and measuring devices.
- Experience checking accuracy of work using blueprint and precision measuring tools.
- Be able to pass basic light industrial skills tests and a more detailed Brake Press Machine Operators Test.
- Change settings for various production runs, inspect flat pattern parts, and use hand tools as needed.
- Implement most effective method to set up and complete a specific job and use time as efficiently as possible.
- Performs inspection as required to insure conformance to specifications.
- Check work in progress and upon completion for adherence to work specifications, quality standards, and safe operating conditions.
- Work in a production environment with concern for meeting cost, quality and schedule requirements.
- Able to maintain production schedules.
- Provide a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given task.
- Communicate effectively with fellow team members as well as the Engineering group to maximize productivity and efficiency.
- Clean and maintain work areas and equipment and complete work records.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Observes and practices safety procedures and policies.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ensure work is done safely and meets quality standards.
- Keep work areas clean and organized and take proper care of all equipment and facilities.
- Uphold all ISO and OSHA standards applicable to the responsibilities above.
- Attendance is a critical job function requirement.
