WELDER FABRICATORS (TIG/MIG)
SHIFTS
Permanent Hire Positions. 1st shift available.
JOB DESCRIPTION
TIG/MIG welding of steel, stainless, and aluminum materials, components, and parts based on the specifications of the blueprints and/or drawings. Sets up and operates TIG/MIG welders to weld metal parts or assemblies, applying knowledge of welding theory and procedures, materials, and layout techniques. Robotic weld experience is a plus.
FUNCTION
- TIG welding knowledge and experience is required.
- Candidate applicants will be required to take a written and “hands-on” practical test (bring welding helmet).
- Requires knowledge of basic math and ability to read and interpret blueprints and/or drawings to determine the specific welding and inspection requirements in accordance with specifications.
- Ability to weld systems for all pressure ranges.
- Ability to work from sketches, templates, or verbal instructions.
- Ability to perform a layout of components to produce a quality product according to procedures while meeting specifications.
- Follow, create and help maintain Welding Procedure Specifications
- Performs basic equipment adjustments based on material variations.
- Selects proper fixtures, and parts in accordance with requirements.
- Robotic weld experience is a plus.
- Performs inspection as required to insure conformance to specifications.
- Work in a production environment with concern for meeting cost, quality and schedule requirements.
- Able to maintain production schedules.
- Provide a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given task.
- Communicate effectively with fellow team members as well as the Engineering group to maximize productivity and efficiency.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Observes and practices safety procedures and policies.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ensure work is done safely and meets quality standards.
- Keep work areas clean and organized and take proper care of all equipment and facilities.
- Uphold all ISO and OSHA standards applicable to the responsibilities above.
- Attendance is a critical job function requirement.
EDUCATION / CERTIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or equivalent
TIG welding certification and/or AWS certification is a plus
