DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist Senior Leadership in the planning, development, and implementation of managed care products, programs, and services related to the company’s prescription drug program.
Department Summary:
Supervise team of marketing liaison pharmacists and/or support personnel serving as liaisons to Health Plan Business sales and marketing to obtain and retain pharmacy enrollment, improve stakeholder satisfaction with our programs, and educate, consult and promote the value of our pharmacy programs
Department Duties:
* Supervise Pharmacy Services team responsible for middle and small group sales including new business, individual business, and agent relations
* Represent Pharmacy Services on various corporate workgroups and committees
* Supervise Pharmacy Services team responsible for requests for proposal/information and with team ensure accuracy and integrity of responses
* Prepare, review, and/or conduct presentations and educational programs for various audiences, including finalist presentations
* Supervise other team responsibilities, which may include assistance with claim inquiries, non-standard benefit requests, and special projects.
Review prescription drug Requests for Proposal (RFP), Requests for Information (RFI) and questionnaires from both local and national groups. Review the responses to the RFP, RFI and questionnaires compiled from other corporate areas and prescription drug vendors to ensure accuracy and integrity. Serve as key clinical support person for reviewing and solving complex prescription drug inquiries from providers, customer service reps, account managers and agents. Supervise, set performance goals/objectives, monitor performance, evaluate, and mentor clinical and non-clinical staff. Monitor and report cost savings related to programs. Assist in the creation of various effective, efficient communications for distribution to internal and external customers. Prepare, review and conduct presentations or educational programs to various audiences, including customers, agents and internal marketing departments. SME for system requirements for application tool required for potential new RX benefit designs.
