Position Summary
The Program Secretary provides administrative and program support for assigned district programs and initiatives. This position serves as a key point of contact and liaison among internal departments, constituent school districts, external partners, and stakeholders. The Program Secretary supports effective communication, accurate data management, coordinated operations, and compliance with district policies and reporting requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma/equivalent plus 30 hours of post-secondary coursework or equivalent continuing education required; coursework in office administration, business, or technology and/or an associate’s degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of three years of experience in a business or educational agency required.
- Serves as a liaison between programs, departments, constituent school districts, and external partners while coordinating program-related communication and information.
- Coordinates and supports program meetings, events, activities, enrollment, scheduling, participation tracking, reporting, and other operational needs.
- Prepares correspondence, reports, informational materials, meeting/training materials, and other program documentation; ensures accurate and timely distribution and submission.
- Maintains confidential records, databases, spreadsheets, and electronic files; assists with data collection, entry, verification, analysis, reporting, and resolving discrepancies.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, databases, Internet-based tools, business math, spelling, and typing at 45 WPM; able to adapt to changing technology and district systems.
- Demonstrates strong organization, problem-solving, communication, customer service, teamwork, leadership, time-management, and independent work skills while maintaining professionalism, confidentiality, good judgment, punctuality, and reliable attendance.
Compensation & Benefits
Pay Range:
- $18.28 - $24.31/hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications
Work Schedule: 261 days / 7.5 hours daily
Paid Time Off:
- Sick and Personal Business paid time, up to 13 days
- Bereavement Leave
