We are seeking a Vehicle Quality Engineer to support a leading automotive manufacturing facility in Wayne, MI. This hands-on role is ideal for professionals with strong troubleshooting, quality, and problem-solving experience who want to make an immediate impact on vehicle performance and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Investigate and resolve vehicle quality and warranty concerns
Lead root cause analysis using Six Sigma, 8D, and 5 Why methodologies
Analyze warranty claims, quality data, and field reports to identify trends
Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions
Support supplier quality improvements and manufacturing quality initiatives
Coordinate plant trials and validation activities
Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supplier teams
Assist with product launches, quality reviews, and continuous improvement projects
Utilize engineering systems and technical tools to support issue resolution
Read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
3+ years of engineering, quality, manufacturing, or automotive experience
Experience with Six Sigma methodologies
Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred
Experience with CAD, Teamcenter, WERS, or similar engineering systems is a plus
