Under the direction of the CEO and Executive Director, the Director of Dental Practices is responsible for the administrative and clinical oversight of all operations as well as the provision of professional, high-quality dental treatment and education to a broad range of patients within The Wellness Plan Medical Centers’ (TWPMC) Dental Practices. Responsibilities include patient care, supervision of dental staff, and compliance with regulatory agencies/requirements (e.g., OSHA, DPH, JCAHO). This position will include the development and implementation of policies and procedures governing all aspects of clinical and administrative operations, infection control, quality assurance, equipment maintenance, patient complaints, incident reporting, strategic/business planning for the dental program and evaluation of dental program and its financial performance.

MINIMAL REQUIREMENTS:
DDS of DMD degree from an accredited college or university with major work in general dentistry; current licensure in the state of Michigan; valid DEA License to prescribe narcotics; current CPR/AED certification; 3-years of dental management experience including managing staff; third-party contract management; current State of Michigan Dental license in good standing; current Michigan Controlled Substance License in good standing; and current valid Michigan Driver’s License. Also, the ability to work flexible hours.
DESIRABLE: Experience with laboratory procedures and experience working in an FQHC.
