Responsible for designing, developing, and implementing core platform components within private cloud environments using Core Java 17, Spring Boot, and related enterprise frameworks; build and maintain an internal API discovery platform enabling engineers to efficiently locate, understand, and integrate internal APIs across business units; apply advanced object-oriented programming principles, design patterns, and best practices to ensure maintainable and extensible codebases; implement GraphQL integrations to support flexible and efficient API querying and data retrieval; develop containerized applications using Docker and deploy them into Kubernetes clusters within the private cloud; collaborate with platform engineering teams to optimize deployment pipelines, service mesh configurations, and workload orchestration; design, implement, and maintain SQL-based relational databases, including schema design, indexing strategies, and performance optimization; develop data access layers and ensure secure, efficient interaction between application services and database systems; conduct performance and load testing using JMeter to validate system scalability, reliability, and throughput; analyze performance metrics, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations across application and infrastructure layers; utilize and apply knowledge of Core Java, TypeScript, Python, Spring Boot, React, REST APIs, AWS ElasticContainerService, AWS CloudFormation, AWS CDK, SQL, NoSQL, and Kubernetes to perform assigned duties; participate in architectural discussions, providing technical input and feasibility assessments; and work closely with product managers, architects, DevOps engineers, and other cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of new features.
Location: Troy, Michigan and multiple undetermined worksites throughout the US;
Salary: $170,560 per year (Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), STD/LTD, life insurance, and EAP)

Education: Bachelors – Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or in a related field of study (will accept equivalent foreign degree).
Training: None
Experience: Five (5) years in the position above, as a Software Dev Engineer, as a Lead Engineer, as a Sr. Software Development Engineer, as an Engineer, or in a related occupation.
