Blue Chip Talent, in partnership with a professional audiovisual technology organization, is seeking a skilled AV Programmer. This role is responsible for programming integrated AV systems from established engineering drawings and technical requirements, performing onsite system commissioning, and supporting projects through final client turnover. The AV Programmer works across environments ranging from individual conference rooms and classrooms to large venues, distributed audio systems, and multi-zone installations.
Job Duties
- Develop AV control and audio programming from engineering drawings, functional scopes, and technical requirements
- Program and configure Crestron, Q-SYS, and Biamp-based AV systems
- Commission integrated AV systems onsite and validate system functionality against project requirements
- Configure and troubleshoot control, DSP, distributed audio, display, projection, and LED system components
- Diagnose programming, configuration, signal-flow, and integration issues during commissioning
- Execute assigned programming projects from engineering handoff through final system turnover
- Perform final system validation and support end-user walkthroughs of completed AV installations
- Travel to customer sites throughout the surrounding region as required for commissioning and project completion
Skills & Experience
Required
- Professional programming experience with Crestron control systems
- Professional programming and configuration experience with Q-SYS
- Professional programming and configuration experience with Biamp DSP platforms
- Experience programming integrated AV systems from drawings, scopes of work, and technical requirements
- Hands-on experience commissioning AV and audio systems onsite
- Working knowledge of AV signal flow, control systems, DSP configuration, and distributed audio
- Ability to troubleshoot AV programming and system-integration issues at the hardware and software levels
- Availability for regional travel and onsite commissioning as project requirements dictate
Desired
- 5+ years of professional AV programming and commissioning experience
- Experience with large-scale, multi-room, multi-zone, or distributed AV environments
- Experience programming or commissioning AV systems for classrooms, conference spaces, large venues, paging systems, or campus-wide environments
- Experience with LED video systems and video processing platforms such as NovaStar
- Experience integrating commercial projection and display technologies
- Experience with Crestron touch-panel programming and standardized user-interface deployments
- Experience configuring Q-SYS for large-scale distributed audio and control applications
- Relevant Crestron, Q-SYS, Biamp, or AVIXA technical certifications
