Saline, MI. 8 Conformal Coat Operators, $20-23 per hour, seven for 1st shift, Mon-Friday, 6am-4:30pm, one for 2nd shift Mon-Friday, 4pm-2:30am with the probability of rotating Saturdays for both shifts. Interviews will be required.
The Conformal Coat Operator assists in applying protective coatings to printed circuit boards (PCBs) and electronic assemblies. This position focuses on learning and performing conformal coating processes under close supervision while ensuring quality, safety, and process compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare PCBs and assemblies for coating, including masking, cleaning, and fixture setup.
- Operate basic coating equipment under direction (manual spray, dip, or automated systems).
- Assist in mixing and handling coating materials per instructions.
- Perform visual inspections for coverage and defects using UV lighting.
- Maintain accurate production and process records.
- Follow all safety, ESD, and chemical handling procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness of work area and equipment.
- Report defects, irregularities, or equipment malfunctions to supervisor.
This person is usually visually detail orientated, like artists, jewelry makers/repairers, etc.
