Physical Therapist or Physical Therapist Assistant – Outpatient | John St., Kalamazoo

Full-Time | Up to $20,000 Sign-On Bonus

Bronson Methodist Hospital is hiring a full-time Physical Therapist (PT) or Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our collaborative outpatient rehab team at John Street. What You’ll Do

Patient Care

• Provide high-quality outpatient therapy for orthopedic, neurologic, and musculoskeletal conditions

• Deliver individualized treatment plans focused on restoring function, strength, mobility, and independence

• Educate patients, families, and caregivers throughout the plan of care

• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to support patient goals

Physical Therapist Responsibilities

• Perform evaluations and interpret referrals

• Develop, implement, and adjust treatment plans

• Establish functional baselines and track progress

• Supervise PTAs, students, and support staff

• Participate in program development, process improvement, and clinical education

Physical Therapist Assistant Responsibilities

• Provide treatment under the direction of a licensed PT

• Carry out established plans of care and therapeutic interventions

• Support patient participation in individual and group therapy

• Contribute to interdisciplinary collaboration and program initiatives

Documentation & Team Support

• Document evaluations, treatments, and progress within required timelines

• Communicate barriers to timely documentation when needed

• Participate in department initiatives, committees, and quality improvement

• Serve as a clinical resource within areas of expertise

What We’re Looking For

Physical Therapist

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program

• Active Michigan PT license

• BLS certification within 3 months of hire

Physical Therapist Assistant

• Graduate of an accredited PTA program

• Active Michigan PTA license

• PTA experience preferred

• BLS certification within 3 months of hire

Both Roles

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Team-oriented, patient-first mindset

• Comfort using electronic health records and basic computer applications
