Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable and caring Kitchen Food Aide to join our Gabby's Guppies team. The ideal candidate will help prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment that supports the health and well-being of the children in our care.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve meals and snacks according to childcare program guidelines.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and licensing requirements.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, including dishwashing and sanitizing surfaces.
- Monitor food inventory and notify management when supplies need replenishing.
- Assist with accommodating children's dietary restrictions and allergies.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and staff to ensure meal and snack schedules run smoothly.
- Ensure proper food storage and handling procedures are followed.

- Knowledge of basic food preparation and sanitation practices.
- Ability to maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace.
- Strong time management and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Dependable and punctual attendance.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Acquire and maintain CPR/First Aid certifications.
- Pass background checks completed by the Department of Human Services and the Michigan State Police Department.
- Complete necessary trainings before working in the center.
- Food service experience preferred but not required.
Job Type: Part-Time
Pay: $15.00 - $16.50 per hour
