Job summary
The Material Handler I is responsible for managing inventory through cycle counts, issuing and transferring materials, and performing MRP transactions. This role supports receiving, stock room, and shipping processes while servicing internal and external customers.
Responsibilities
Support receiving, stock room, and shipping processes.
Accurately pull material from stock for issuance to production.
Receive material from vendors into the ERP system.
Process receipt of repair units into the ERP system.
Accurately ship finished goods to customers and in-process material to outside vendors.
Verify count, packaging method, serial numbers, documentation, shipping methods, and destination.
Generate and verify invoicing for shipped goods through MFG PRO, EDGE, and Document Management systems.
Certified to ship hazardous material and maintain specialized labeling processes.
Maintain a clean and safe work area.
Adhere to all safety rules and regulations.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.
Legal authorization to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
Must live within 50 miles of Grand Rapids, MI, unless an active-duty military service member.
Must be a U.S. person as defined by ITAR (U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident, Political Asylee, or Refugee).
Preferred: One year experience in logistics or related field.
Preferred: ERP system experience.
Preferred: Experience with Excel, Oracle, FCS, WMS, Premium Freight Database, UPS Website, and Outlook.
Preferred: Prior experience in manufacturing or assembly operations.
Minimum 3 years of experience in logistics or related field.
Ability to read, understand, and follow product specifications, drawings, and work orders in English.
Position includes standing, bending, twisting, and capability to lift/move up to 40 lbs.
Additional Details
Certain duties require compliance with Repair Station Certificate guidelines and are subject to DOT drug and alcohol testing.
