ENGAGEMENT DESCRIPTION: The Marketing Compliance Intern will support Medicare Advantage marketing compliance activities by researching government regulations, CMS guidance, and related requirements. This role will assist with applying regulatory research to the review of required materials, including Evidence of Coverage, Annual Notice of Change, Summary of Benefits, and related documents. The intern will gain practical exposure to regulatory interpretation, marketing compliance review processes, risk identification, and the development of clear summaries that support leadership awareness and decision-making. RESPONSIBILITIES/TASKS: * Research CMS regulations, Medicare Advantage program guidance, and related marketing compliance requirements. * Support marketing compliance reviews of required materials by applying regulatory research and documenting findings. * Assist with identifying potential compliance risks, gaps, inconsistencies, or questions for review by the Marketing Compliance team. * Help evaluate marketing materials for alignment with CMS guidance, internal standards, and applicable deadlines. * Organize review notes, regulatory references, supporting documentation, and research summaries in a clear and consistent manner. * Assist with preparing concise summaries, presentations, and status updates for team members, business stakeholders, or leadership. * Collaborate with Marketing Compliance team members and cross-functional partners to support timely completion of assigned work. * Participate in team meetings, process discussions, and learning opportunities related to Medicare Advantage marketing compliance. This engagement description identifies responsibilities and tasks typically associated with the internship. Additional responsibilities may be assigned to support business needs and learning objectives. EMPLOYMENT QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION: Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in business, health care administration, public policy, communications, marketing, compliance, or a related field. Relevant coursework or demonstrated interest in health care, regulatory requirements, marketing, or compliance is preferred. EXPERIENCE: Prior internship, coursework, project, volunteer, or work experience involving research, analysis, communications, marketing, health care, or compliance is preferred; direct Medicare Advantage or regulatory experience is not required. TOP 3 REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: * Demonstrated analytical ability, including experience reviewing complex information, guidance, policies, or requirements. * Ability to research regulations, guidance, and source materials accurately, thoroughly, and efficiently. * Interest in marketing compliance reviews, preferably within health care, Medicare Advantage, or another regulated environment. REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: * Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple assigned tasks. * Ability to interpret regulations, guidance, and business requirements with appropriate support and direction. * Computer proficiency, including the ability to learn business applications, document management tools, and collaboration platforms. * Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to summarize information clearly. * Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. * Demonstrated curiosity, sound judgment, and willingness to ask clarifying questions when needed. PREFERRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: * Experience using Microsoft Excel to organize, track, compare, or analyze information. * Experience using Microsoft PowerPoint to prepare summaries, presentations, or visual updates. * Presentation skills or comfort communicating research, findings, or recommendations to others. * Exposure to risk assessment concepts, compliance review processes, health care, Medicare Advantage, or other regulated environments. * Interest in or experience with automation tools, artificial intelligence, large language models, or emerging technology solutions that support research, analysis, process improvement, or workflow efficiency. WORKING CONDITIONS: * Work is performed in an office setting with no unusual hazards. The qualifications listed above are intended to represent the minimum education, experience, skills, knowledge and ability levels associated with performing the duties and responsibilities contained in this job description. Actual compensation decision relies on the consideration of internal equity, candidate's skills and professional experience, geographic location, market and other potential factors.
