Position Summary
Fifth Third Bank is seeking a full-time CSR/Teller for its East Dearborn Financial Center.
This customer-facing position combines customer service, cash handling, banking transactions, problem solving, and referrals to bankers and other financial-service professionals. The CSR/Teller is responsible for creating a positive customer experience while accurately completing transactions and helping customers connect with the appropriate banking resources.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Customer Service

Welcome customers and provide professional, friendly service.

Listen to customers to understand their individual financial needs.

Ask appropriate questions to better understand customer concerns and requests.

Help guide customers to appropriate banking products, services, bankers, or business partners.

Follow up on customer questions and help identify solutions to problems.

Teller & Banking Operations

Perform customer banking transactions accurately and efficiently.

Handle cash throughout the workday.

Maintain accurate balancing records in accordance with bank policies.

Identify and correct balancing discrepancies and request assistance when necessary.

Perform daily Financial Center responsibilities in cooperation with the platform team.

Maintain knowledge of Fifth Third Bank policies, procedures, and operational requirements.

Assist consumer and business customers with routine concerns and questions.

Refer more complex customer issues to the Lead Customer Service Representative or appropriate leadership.

Follow established procedures and exercise sound judgment when making decisions.

Help protect customers and the bank by following established risk-management and security procedures.
Customer Referrals

Identify additional customer needs during regular transactions and outreach activities.

Refer customers to Personal Bankers and other Fifth Third business partners when appropriate.

Develop working knowledge of Fifth Third's retail banking products and services.

Use the appropriate banking systems and tools to document and track referrals.

Help customers connect with specialists who can provide more detailed financial guidance or services.
Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED.
The position requires extensive cash handling and regular interaction with the public. Candidates must be comfortable communicating directly with customers and maintaining a professional appearance in accordance with Fifth Third's dress-code requirements.
