Position Summary
Dialogo Therapy is seeking a bilingual Spanish-speaking licensed therapist to join its growing private practice serving clients throughout Metro Detroit and Michigan.
Dialogo Therapy provides culturally responsive behavioral health services with a particular commitment to addressing the shortage of Spanish-speaking mental health services in the region. The practice serves clients representing a wide range of Hispanic/Latino and bicultural identities, including native Spanish speakers, English-speaking Latinos, bilingual individuals, couples, and families.
The ideal clinician is approachable, culturally responsive, ethical, collaborative, and comfortable providing assessment and psychotherapy services in both English and Spanish.
Work Hours & Schedule
This position offers significant scheduling flexibility; however, clinicians must maintain a minimum of 20 client-facing hours each week.
Clinicians may divide their caseload between in-person and telehealth appointments based on client and practice needs.
In-office requirement: Availability at the Allen Park office at least 3 days per week.
Applicants should also be able to offer appointments during the practice's highest-demand scheduling periods:
- Monday–Wednesday: Session start times at 5:00 PM or later
- Thursday: Session start times at 2:00 PM or later
- Friday–Sunday: Availability throughout the day
The contractor establishes their schedule within these practice and client-coverage expectations.
Compensation
This is a 1099 independent contractor position compensated through a tiered percentage of collected revenue rather than a guaranteed annual salary.
Fee Split:
- 1–14 completed sessions per week: 60% clinician / 40% practice
- 15+ completed sessions per week: 65% clinician / 35% practice
Estimated annual earnings: $60,000–$85,000, depending on caseload, completed appointments, collected revenue, and the applicable fee split.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
The Bilingual Therapist will provide culturally responsive behavioral health services while maintaining professional, ethical, clinical, and documentation standards.
Responsibilities may include:
- Conduct individual, couples, family, or other appropriate psychotherapy sessions based on professional license and competency.
- Conduct clinical assessments and identify client treatment needs.
- Develop individualized treatment goals and treatment plans.
- Provide therapy in both English and Spanish.
- Create a welcoming and collaborative environment for clients from diverse Hispanic/Latino and bicultural backgrounds.
- Encourage clients to discuss emotions, relationships, challenges, and behavioral patterns.
- Help clients develop coping strategies and skills for addressing emotional, interpersonal, behavioral, and life challenges.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, progress notes, assessments, and treatment records.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA, Michigan requirements, professional ethics, and practice policies.
- Monitor client progress and modify treatment approaches when appropriate.
- Identify and respond appropriately to clinical risk, safety concerns, or crisis situations.
- Collaborate with other providers or community resources when clinically appropriate.
- Maintain professional boundaries and culturally responsive therapeutic relationships.
- Participate in required practice communication, administrative processes, and coordination.
These responsibilities are also consistent with O*NET activities for mental health professionals, including maintaining confidential treatment records, counseling clients, maintaining clinical documentation, assessing risk, and helping clients develop strategies for addressing problems.
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must meet all of the following requirements:
- Active Michigan clinical license in good standing as one of the following:
- LMSW — Licensed Master's Social Worker
- LPC — Licensed Professional Counselor
- LMFT — Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
- LP — Licensed Psychologist
- Minimum 2 years of clinical mental health experience
- Fluent in English and Spanish
- Able to comfortably conduct assessments and psychotherapy sessions in Spanish
- Ability to maintain professional liability/malpractice insurance
- Ability to maintain at least 20 client-facing hours per week
- Ability to provide in-person availability at the Allen Park office at least 3 days per week
- Ability to provide some appointment availability during identified high-demand scheduling periods
- Strong interpersonal, communication, documentation, and time-management skills
- Commitment to culturally responsive and ethical clinical care

Preference may be given to clinicians with experience or interest in one or more of the following areas:
- Couples therapy
- Family therapy
- Child or adolescent behavioral health
- Bicultural and bilingual mental health
- Hispanic/Latino communities
- Specialized clinical treatment areas or established therapeutic niches
