About the Position

Eisenhower Center provides innovative rehabilitation, behavioral health treatment, and community reintegration services to individuals with complex neurological, behavioral, and mental health needs.

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Licensed Counselor to join our interdisciplinary clinical team. This position provides trauma-informed, evidence-based, and person-centered counseling to adults with Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), Serious Mental Illness (SMI), Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (I/DD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and co-occurring behavioral health conditions.

The ideal candidate is collaborative, clinically skilled, and committed to helping clients achieve recovery, independence, and improved quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct behavioral health, biopsychosocial, trauma, risk, and functional assessments.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on client needs, strengths, and goals.
• Provide individual, group, and family psychotherapy.
• Utilize evidence-based approaches including CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, ACT, solution-focused therapy, mindfulness, and trauma-informed interventions.
• Monitor treatment progress and adjust interventions as clinically appropriate.
• Support emotional regulation, coping skills, resilience, independence, and community reintegration.
• Provide crisis assessment, intervention, stabilization, and risk management.
• Assist with behavioral support plans and positive behavioral interventions.
• Use therapeutic communication and appropriate de-escalation techniques.
• Collaborate with physicians, psychologists, nurses, therapists, case managers, direct care staff, and leadership.
• Participate in treatment team meetings, case consultations, interdisciplinary reviews, and discharge planning.
• Provide clinical guidance related to behavioral health and trauma-informed care.
• Maintain accurate assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, treatment reviews, and discharge documentation.
• Use electronic health record systems effectively and maintain documentation that meets medical necessity and reimbursement standards.
• Follow applicable MDHHS, CMH, Medicare, Medicaid, CARF, licensing, ethical, and organizational requirements.
• Participate in quality improvement and professional development activities.
