Eisenhower Center is growing, and we are seeking a dependable and experienced Custodial Worker to join our team.

Position Summary
The Custodial Worker is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment throughout Eisenhower Center facilities. This position performs routine and specialized cleaning duties while following established safety, infection control, and chemical-handling procedures.
The successful candidate will be dependable, detail-oriented, organized, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain assigned areas in a clean and orderly condition according to Eisenhower Center standards.
- Clean client rooms, bathrooms, showers, staff offices, therapy rooms, and public areas on a daily basis.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors throughout assigned areas.
- Shampoo carpets and perform other carpet-cleaning duties as needed.
- Wash walls, clean woodwork, and perform other routine surface-cleaning tasks.
- Dust and polish furniture in common areas.
- Clean and polish door plates and other fixtures as needed.
- Clean windows, light fixtures, and other areas as assigned.
- Follow all applicable fire and safety regulations.
- Follow infection control policies and procedures related to housekeeping and custodial duties.
- Safely handle, store, and use cleaning chemicals in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Assist with facility emergencies, such as cleaning and restoring areas following water damage or flooding.
- Assist with preparation and cleanup for special events and activities.
- Work collaboratively with Maintenance, Food Service, Rehabilitation, and other departments to maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment.
- Manage time effectively to complete assigned duties and scheduled responsibilities.
- Maintain appropriate work standards while completing tasks independently.
- Perform special cleaning assignments and other housekeeping duties as directed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Successful candidates should possess:
- Valid driver's license.
- Previous housekeeping or custodial experience preferred.
- Experience in an Adult Foster Care, healthcare, residential, or similar environment preferred.
- Knowledge of CMH/TBI populations is a plus.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move items as required to perform job duties.
- Strong time-management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to work cooperatively as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and thoroughness when completing cleaning duties.
- Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment.
- Ability to follow safety procedures, infection control practices, and chemical-handling requirements.

Experience working in healthcare, Adult Foster Care, or with individuals with CMH/TBI needs is preferred but not required.
